All the comercial activities are too expensive, not worthed for what you see there.. catamarans for 120€ just to stop to see island waterfall and eat on the island. Zoo/safari/lions/tea factory/rhum.. too poor and expensive in compare with european zoo/saf.. the nature was beautiful nice hiking, exploring free waterfalls swimming and snorchling. As well food was great.

The trip was amazing. We had a very local experience, loved the beaches for walking, did a Catamaran day out with JPH Charters, ate local Creole food at Escale Creole, and a wonderful seafood meal at The BEACH HOUSE in the north.

Rent a car and do a tour of the north and tour of the south yourself, don't pay for a taxi. North: Mont Choisy beach; Grand Baie beach (and town); Red church. South: Model boat shop in Curepipe; Grand Baisson Temple; Alexandria waterfall; Black River Gorge lookout; Rhumederie Chamarel; 7 sands; Curiousity Chamarel. Don't forget the beaches at Flic en Flac and La Morne.
All of these are easily accessible by car.

Renting a car in Mauritius gave us endless opurtunities to discover this amazing island. We did over 900km in 12 days, I was positively surprised with road conditions and road network. The car pick up office is with the others so no issues there. The payment is calculated on a calculator when you get there but there were no shocks in the price given.
