Drivalia at London Airport Gatwick

Cons: Claimed that DiscoverCars didn't charge me all the British taxes. The cost of the rental more than doubled. They were charging all other customers ahead of us extra fees and taxes. They could not provide documentation for the so called extra taxes. I highly don't recommend Drivilia at Gatwick airport.

Pros: Staff are very attentive, professional and friendly. Amar who helped me at picked up, remembered me at drop off. That kinda personal touch makes Drivalia special

Don't always go with the lowest cost provider.

Plus I was given a large car instead of a small car because non were available. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but it was the first time I had driven in England for many years as I live in Italy, so having a really large car was not ideal and made me even more nervous.

Cons: When we picked up the vehicle, the dashboard service schedule was showing a service and oil change was due and felt this should have been carried out before the car was released for our hire period. Knowing the hire car has been serviced at the recommended interval minimises anxiety.

Pros: Average service. Didn't explain how to get out of drop off area and car left with no fuel. Agent had a sense of humor but quite cocky. Signs on door misleading. It says mobility and not car rental

Cons: They were supposed to be open at 7am Agent did not arrive till 7.04am and by the time he got the computers up and running and get to my paperwork it was 7.30am. They should be up and running at 7am in my opinion. Car was picked up on Empty!! No gas in car - which meant I had to use my time to find garage and fill up. Also, warning light came on within one mile of Air Pressure tires needed adjusting. Also, zero credit given for leaving car on 3/4 full with gas.

Cons: I rented at Gatwick on 6th July. Drivalia had no cars, so everyone just had to wait until a car was returned by another customer. There was no time guarantee that this would happen. We waited 3 hours for a car. Other people waited longer. If a car was returned that did not match your booking, people were forced to re-book and pay extra to get a car. Secondly expecting me to do the driving licence check - if this is something you want completed, ask for the details before collection and do it yourselves!! Thirdly, finding you was difficult and I think you need to make it a lot more clearer that you are not based in the airport.

I remembered the number only to be told by the guy that it was wrong. I had to get on the internet and check it. I had told him it right and he had typed it in wrong! Give me strength!
