Simba Car Hire at Sydney Airport

Pros: We were promptly attended to when we arrived and did not have to wait long to pick up the car.

Cons: No explanation of additional charges that we would have to pay.

Cons: We ordered a medium SUV but got a small sedan. Simba Car waived the toll processing fee as compensation.

Cons: Car provided was an MG. The car was noisy and lack power. Engine stalled once resulting in drop of power steering and brakes.

Cons: Drop off at Brisbane Airport was outside their office hours so had to park at Airport park at an additional cost to us ($75), plus no one to hand the keys to so were left in the glove box unlocked as per their instructions. It was fortunate that I made contact the day prior to dropping off, there was no offer of communications from them as to drop off arrangements.

Pros: Quick response for airport pickup. Easy registration and like new cars. Only hassle we had was that the car wouldn’t start immediately. Found a Kia forum with many cars with the same problem and tip to start the car in neutral. It was a hit and miss sometimes but we managed to get the car started. Sometimes within a half hour of trying..

Cons: We did send some emails during our trip to Simba with the problems and we said we would understand it won’t be fixed because of Christmas. And we would try to start with the forum tips. They responded after a couple of days … not with a suggestion how to solve the problem but just with a thank you we keep trying to start the car ourselves…

Pros: There was a slight chip on the windshield on the drivers side. The lady who inspected the car on return found more cracks on the otherside. She was kind enough to wavier off the damages based on the previous photo evidence.

Cons: I landed at Sydney and was unable to contact Simba by phone, message, email or chat. I advised the company that we were at the pick uppoint for the shuttle bus but it didn't stop. It took over an hour for the bus to finally pick us up.

Cons: Ok, was very dissapointed with the service from Simba, basically put us in a car and said goodbye, no showing how to work GPS,( which i payed for) and no showing of how the car functioned. Was not easy instructions on where to find the pick up point had to ask for help from a different rental company, Would not recommed to friends needing car hire in Sydney.

Cons: You need to take a van to an off site rental location. Sometimes it can take 20-30 minutes to catch the shuttle. Coming back it took about 25 minutes from drop off, wait for the bus, and then arrive at the domestic terminal.

Pros: Although the car hire is located outside of the airport, we followed the pickup instructions and we were collected from the airport within 10 minutes. Collection of the car was very quick and efficient. The car was excellent. I am extremely happy

Cons: Everything. They closed and had no direction of how to get to them other than to contact them and when tried calling they were closed. Very stressful start to our holiday. We were helped instead by hertz rentals.

Pros: They picked me up from the airport and took me to pick up the car. They gave me a new Hyundai Tuscon, and in two weeks in Sydney, I made 1500km. When I finished with the car they drove me back to the airport.

Pros: The car is very new. The processing time is quite short. The final shuttle bus to the airport is also fast.

Cons: I called 4 times for them to pick me up at the airport and the call was always rejected. then I tried the extension for new bookings and they picked up very quickly. it seems like they put more effort into getting new bookings than into giving a good services to exiting customers.
