Pick-up instructions
The rental car area, where the Sixt branch can be found, is located on the ground floor of the main parking garage opposite to the main terminal/airport building. When exiting the arrival area, go across the street to the building and take the first entrance from the left. The Sixt branch is located in the middle of the hall on the left side of the entrance.
Drop-off instructions
When returing your Sixt vehicle, park in the designated area on the ground floor. Take the left entry ramp to enter the car return area.

Pros: I have never had a car inspection upon return that was as malicious and hopeful to find some problem with the car as it was at Ljubljana Airport in Slovenia. They were so pleased when they found miniscule scratch on the hub cap. Incredible experience. Very mean and petty!

Cons: Petty and malicious return inspection. The agent was really looking for problems. I have never experienced anything that small-minded and petty.

Pros: All went very easy

Cons: When drop off staff came 5 minutes past 8, and it looked like they were more occupied of talking to eachother than handling the customers that were there early to leave their car. But they were very nice after approaching them and told us that they didn t have the keys for the office so that was probably what they were discussing. We were able to just leave the keys at them to reach our plane 9.30. We took pictures of the car and all went well.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Loss Damage Waiver (damage deductible: € 1000.00), Third Party Liability (TPL), Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 23.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
Driver licenses from the following country(ies): China will be accepted only if the translation is approved by the Consulate or Embassy. A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy



If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: American Express, Diners, Eurocard, Discover, Airplus, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
All credit cards must be capable of the following: PIN verification; cards without this capability will not be accepted.
Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.
For the Standard, Premium, Fullsize car group, a minimum of two credit cards issued on the main driver's name are required.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Written permission from the rental company is required.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.

Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain-Mainland, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, San Marino. crossing country borders is forbidden for certain car groups.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Snow chains, Winter tires.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

During winter season (from 15.11 until 15.03) Winter tires are included in price.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

Alternatively, the renter may purchase a tank full of fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty.
In no case will a refund be given for unused fuel.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.11 to 15.03.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
