They gave us paperwork to sign but when i mentioned looking at the car before we signed he brushed me off and told us to take a video as there was no damage. Apon looking at the car there were scratches and a dent. They didnt care when we called them over. I took video and photos. When dropping off we had to wait for 50 mins for the shuttle

Cons: On drop off I thought I would have to wait ages in the cue behind all the pick ups as there was only one person processing cars, then two. Luckly Eduardo the transfer man arrived and came to our rescue and we were processed and on the transfer bus in minutes.

Cons: The €2/day fee for the toll transponder and the fact that even if you use it only on one day you still pay the 2€ for ALL the duration of the rental

Cons: There was damage on the car that they didn't mark down but they told me about it. When I returned the car the person went straight to the damaged areas and asked if I'd done it as it wasn't marked on the sheet. Fortunately I'd taken photos to prove it was pre existing.

Pros: Good service. Little difficult spotting the shuttle van as you don't know what to look for and the Phone is not being answered when we treed to reach you for more guidance.

Pros: Short shuttle ride to collect vehicle. Efficient service, everything explained. Very nice car. Ease of dropping off car and transfer back to the airport without any delay.

Cons: Although shuttle driver was in the parking zone advised, it was a little difficult finding him as we were unaware of the vehicle type and colour and couldn’t identify the vehicle as Turisprime at first.

Cons: This was seriously bad. Our car was inspected by a real wise-guy, who managed to find a pin-prick of a mark on the windscreen. I have a photo of it, which was hard to take because I couldn't see it through the phone's camera. "It's broken!" was his comment. Someone else should check the screen and see if they can find the mark. Fortunately, he was quickly overruled by a more senior colleague, but this obvious attempt to cheat us was very depressing.

Pros: Be aware that Discover cars is under the name of Turisprime. The two companies don't pass information at times. People at the airport helped me know which shuttle to look for. I would not have known which agency to go to because Discover is not posted anywhere.

We arrived in Faro by train and so had to go to the Faro airport for the car and didnt realize it was not on the airport site but a short drive away. There was a shuttle waiting for us but I don't recall being informed that was the way things were going to work.

Pros: The overall experience was very good. The price was unbeatable and the car was great. We got everything we had asked for.

Cons: I was pretty happy with the service provided. The only annoyance for me was that I paid for full coverage and was told that it was a third party and they would charge me first if anything happened.

Will not use this company again. Also pickup instructions say meet in car P2 but not exactly where. P2 is a massive car park with several rental car desks.

Pros: Staff at Rental Office were kind and ensured all explained concerning reservation and vehicle. Nice to receive Hybrid as this kept fuel costs low. Vehicle return could've been improved as office staff weren't able to do the vehicle check immediately to provide the final invoice.

Cons: Unable to find Airport Shuttle - Staff onsite refused to assist. Upon calling, the Shuttle did arrive for what could've been a 5min walk but resulted in 15min wait & 10min drive. Clearer signage in Airport required.

Pros: I had a message come up on the dashboard to say 'coolant'. I emailed and said I was passing in 2 days so I would call in. They checked and assured me everything was fine.

Cons: The very only thing I wasn't sure about was when I returned the car they told me everything was OK but I never got any confirmation of the safe return of my car - no email. no receipt. As the car agreement came electronically when I took the car out, I asked if the 'safe receipt' would come by email - and I understood yes. But nothing came. The only thing that arrived was a credit into my credit card account was the deposit 18 hours after leaving the car.

Cons: Charging for highway tolls without giving me any details on where and when. The car developed a fault which impacted our trip.

When we asked about the bus we were told it was in the garage and it was a 2 minute walk to the airport. Considering there were multiple cars available we weren’t offered a lift to the airport. It wasn’t too much of an issue for us as we didn’t have small children or a lot of luggage. Road was very busy. Not good!

Pros: The car was nice and new and had a satnav built in which was great. I don’t think it’s very well maintained though as it didn’t manage to even accelerate up a hill.

Quoted €78 with a deposit of between €240 and €400 ish, but when we arrived, we had to either pay a deposit of €1500 where damages were deducted (a scratch would have cost €400), or pay a non-refundable €150. The €78 car ended up costing me €263. You also have two more deposits to pay, tolls and fuel, so the total hire was over €340. Although, I will get some of that back I assume.

Cons: This is the first and last time I will use Discover Cars or Turisprime. There was no car there when I arrived. When it came 15 minutes later I was greeted with “I’ve been here since19.30! It’s going to cost you 30 euros for being late.” My flight didn’t even land until 19.35 and with the number of flights and checking due to Covid it took over an hour to get through security. They had my flight details I don’t understand what the problem is with this. This was just the beginning of the issues.

Cons: Very unclear how to access the shuttle service. No obvious meeting point. Phone number listed in rental voucher was out of use. The price paid at the desk was higher than the price stated on the rental voucher because of "taxes". Taxes should be stated in the voucher when purchasing.

Cons: Was waiting half an hour to be picked up because after I called to be collected from the airport and waited 20 minutes, called again and the guy said he had come to collect then waited for 10 minutes then left again. He was in an unmarked van and made no attempt to find us, speak to us etc, just sat there waiting for us to somehow know he was there. Then he left! Where did he think we would have gone? He had to come back again and get us.

Pros: Cost was cheaper than the alternatives. I emailed Turiprime during our hire period to flag the engine warning light problem, asking if they could provide a replacement vehicle or explain what we should do in a breakdown situation and received no response…..

Cons: Vehicle had numerous dents and scratches, smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, had an engine warning light on (and performance impacted as a result, leaving us worried about breaking down all holiday, especially nervous during the return trip back to get our flight home), and the front windscreen washer didn’t work (poor visibility in dry dusty conditions, so needed to manually wash the window several times from the outside during our hire period to maintain safe visibility whilst driving).

Pros: After being picked-up, in person-service was very friendly and staff was availabile to solve any issue with my booking.

I was at Faro Airport, and I called the numbers provided in the voucher, but they were from Lisbon and after one attempt, they did not work anymore. Local numbers were not available. Information about where to find the shuttle bus at the Faro Airport was from Lisbon Airport.

Apparently the insurance wasn't included even though the discover car hire voucher clearly stated that it is. There was an extra charge for using the motorway that wasn't mentioned upfront. Cons: i purchased the car insurance with the car online thinking it was with the same company only to be told not and a bit of scare tactics were used to try and sell me another insurance. it should be made clear on the website where you are buying g the insurance from.

In particular at pick up, because the amount of deposit was different with the voucher at the moment of booking, I asked for explanation and the lady at the desk replied to me: this is my rule that’s why is different from what you find with an online broker . I think if customer get different information online and then at the desk, it’s quite appropriate to ask for clarification.
